The Lord Mayor of Coventry, Councillor Lindsley Harvard, cordially invites you to welcome to our city Michael Morpurgo OBE FRSL FKC DL.
Author of War Horse and many other much loved books and former Children’s Laureate. He will base his lecture on an Eagle in the Snow, his latest book featuring local serviceman, Private Henry Tandey VC, the most decorated private soldier of World War I and the man who could, arguably, have prevented World War II.
Music will be provided by the Warwickshire Youth Waits, lead by Alison Kinder.
All Welcome
Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30 start. Early arrival recommended as this is likely to be very popular.
Note the venue has changed
Books will be on sale at the event with Waterstones and light refreshments served. Michael won’t be signing but printed book plates will be supplied.
Organised by the Lord Mayor of Coventry’s Peace Committee

I attended the above Lecture by Michael Morpurgo and it was an outstanding experience. I would appreciate it if you could inform me of any future lectures and talks along these lines.
