Dear Reader,
Do you know a child born on or after 30 November 2002 who lives or goes to school in Coventry? Then tell them about the Coventry Children's Peace Poem Competition. Details below. Prizes and publishing fame to be won!
September saw a very successful RISING Global Peace Forum. Thanks to Coventry University's Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations, to Coventry Cathedral and the City Council. For videos of previous RISING talks see their YouTube channel.
It also saw plans being made for the forthcoming Coventry Peace Festival, 1 to 14 November. There are many events planned. See below for details.
One of them will be Coventry Lord Mayor's November Peace Lecture, to be delivered this year by the well-known journalist and broadcaster Yasmin Alibhai-Brown on 13 November. Her subject will be
"Keeping Faith in Just Values in an Age of Populism".
Seats are going fast so book now here.
