Dear Reader,

Following news of racially motivated abuse of oriental-looking people in the UK, Coventry Lord Mayor's Committee for Peace & Reconciliation will be considering what we can do to help support the Chinese community in the city. If you have any ideas, please let me know at covlmpc@gmail.com

Taking a broader view of the problem, we are planning to create a map showing the cultural diversity of Coventry including clubs, places of worship and so on. If you know of anything please let me know.

And looking internationally we are working on a system to allow people who do not speak the same language to have conversations and so become more aware of different cultures and ideas.

The CovTeleCon has already hosted some very useful events and has the capacity to host more, so if you want to run a telemeeting to talk to friends, neighbours or colleagues, please visit our site https://covtelecon.uk/ to find out how.

And please do let us know of any peace-related news or activities happening in or near Coventry and we will be happy to add them to our website http://coventrycityofpeace.uk and include them in a future edition of this newsletter.

Chair, Coventry Lord Mayor's Committee for Peace & Reconciliation
