The Coventry and Warwickshire Children’s Peace Poem Competition received a record number of entries in 2020. We received 341 poems in total, almost three times the number last year.

Coventry Lord Mayor’s Committee for Peace and Reconciliation are of course delighted to receive them but it has meant that the judges have had to spend extra time reading and grading the poems. We were therefore not able to announce the winners in the middle of December as we had planned, and at the time of writing this we are still waiting for the results from some judges, but we can assure all those anxiously waiting for the results that we will let everyone know as soon as possible.
