What does it mean to be British?
Coventry College, working with Coventry Lord Mayor’s Committee for Peace and Reconciliation and using a grant from the University of Warwick, ran a project asking “What does it mean to be British?”
Students from all departments in the College took part in tutorial sessions to explore Britishness, both how we define it and how, if at all, we identify with it. They explored what being British means to them and applied this to the context of living in Coventry as well as their personal circumstances.
The concepts of equality and diversity underpinned this project as well as revisiting Fundamental British Values.
