She is an Acumen Fellow, and is now researching for a PhD, focusing on mental health and mental health services in Black communities.

Last studied at the University of Warwick, and says, “As someone who’d gone through the asylum process my self-confidence was very low when I joined Warwick University. However, through interactions with fellow students and professors I gained it all back plus more. In fact, the idea to set up Inini, even though it was motivated by my asylum journey, was reinforced by my LLM modules and dissertation. I am forever grateful to Warwick University for broadening my horizon and opening a whole new world for me.”
She has been profiled by the BBC and the Coventry City of Culture Trust as a modern-day Lady Godiva.
