Howes School Peace & Reconciliation Video Wins National Competition
This excellent short film that Howes pupils made about Coventry with a focus on Peace and Reconciliation has just won a national competition run by the Rugby League World Cup 2021 and it will be shown on the big screens at the tournament this Autumn.
The video takes us on a journey around the historical City of Coventry from the destruction of World War II to the rebuilding of the city. The music, sport, culture and much more are all highlighted in this very informative and exciting video.
Rebecca Bollands, Deputy Head Teacher at Howes Primary School said:
“Our pupils loved taking part in this competition as it gave them the opportunity to showcase our city. They hope that it will show visitors how much there is to see in Coventry and how much history there is in the city.
“We are especially proud to be hosting a Rugby League World Cup game in Coventry and our pupils are looking forward to welcoming the teams and the fans.”
