UN75 – An online conversation about the future
What kind of world do you want to see in 2045?
That is the question that the United Nations wants you to answer. It has therefore launched UN75, a global conversation to address the question of what the people of the world want to achieve by the UN centenary in 2045.
The UN was founded in 1945 primarily to “to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind”. Peace lies at its foundation.
But today there are many challenges facing the world which are already leading to conflict: water shortages; inequalities; lack of democracy; the use of digital technology as a weapon and many more.
In order to allow you to send your ideas to the UN, the United Nations Association Coventry Branch has created an online conversation at https://un75.uk/ where you can give your vision of the world in 2045, discuss the problems facing the world and suggest ways they can be resolved.
