“Our wonderful embracing inclusive “Community of Lights” will be a fantastic opportunity for the residents of Foleshill and surrounding areas to come together, celebrate diversity and enjoy a great day out. From noon till dusk there will be non-stop fusion of arts, music, dance, performances, stalls and food. Special performances will include the Godiva Sisters wearing their traditional costumes, hero’s from around the world, Chinese Fan Dancers, Irish dancers, African drumming with Cultural Contractors, Polish choir Senza Nome, World Song & Forte Gospel choirs, storytellers and musicians from the Imagination Reading Café. Local schools and community groups, will showcase a beautiful parade of lights, handmade lanterns and puppets with a closing procession around the park. Our Communities of Light Event is about inclusiveness, with all people young and old, families of all cultures and faiths presenting their idea of light. “Enlightenment for All, lighting up our park, lighting up our lives” so it really will be a family fun filled day out!”
