Schools are invited to an event on the morning of Friday 9th November 2018 at Coventry Cathedral to join other young people at events held simultaneously in Cathedrals and significant public buildings around the UK to mark the centenary of the end of the ‘Great War’.
Why should I bring my students? We will use the occasion to inspire a new generation to take positive action to work for peace and conflict resolution, not only across the world but also in their local communities and personal relationships. We have teamed up with BBC Radio (local and national) and BBC TV around the coverage of the event.
To find out more visit www.oasisinspire.org to find project ideas, curriculum materials and plans for the term.
We are aiming for the this to be an event DESIGNED BY PUPILS, DELIVERED BY PUPILS. If you and your students would like to take a lead role designing and developing the event over the next half term then please email emma.griffiths@
We are a key partner in the INSPIRE initiative – remembering the end of World War One alongside the Quakers, Facing History, Oasis Trust and Corrymeela, in Northern Ireland.
