Alcohol Intervention Mediation Service
The Alcohol Intervention Mediation Service (AIMS) is a four-year project run by Coventry Cyrenians and funded by the Big Lottery designed to develop and support young people and their families with their needs around emotional well-being, education, relationships and the other problems young people face these days.
AIMS helps young people overcome their anxieties through pastoral and counselling-based support, enabling them to sit exams which family members have said they would otherwise not have done, for example.
Positive feedback has been received from family and young people and shows how young people have finished being supported by AIMS with improved communication, education, health, alcohol awareness, family relationships and career options, including completing online courses provided through Cyrenians.
