Coventry Justice and Peace Group
We are a church-based group, focussing on a range of issues, such as climate justice, the arms trade and support for refugees.
We are a group drawn from the Catholic parishes of Coventry. At present about eight parishes are regularly represented at our monthly meetings, held on the last Wednesday of the month. We report on activities in our own parishes and exchange ideas about how to develop activities further.
Our main concerns are: to support the work of CAFOD (international economic and climate justice), Pax Christi (non-violent approaches to conflict resolution) and Kairos Britain (solidarity with the people of Palestine).
We also support the work of Church Action on Poverty (within the UK) and and campaign to see the West Midlands Pension Fund disinvest from the arms trade.
