After first rising in the Calais Jungle refugee camp in 2015 and following its recent occupations in London, Paris and New York, the original Good Chance Theatre Dome will continue its international odyssey to the centre of Coventry on 22 June, celebrating the culmination of World Refugee Week in the centre of the UK’s 2021 City of Culture.
Dome in a Day is a free day-long arts extravaganza and we welcome you to be part of this bold artistic experiment: to build a new community of international artists and audiences and discover a new common ground – all in a single day.
An interactive day of workshops and performances from local and international artists. Everyone is welcome to join us for puppetry, kung fu, theatre, live music, circus and the world premiere performance of the Change the Word collective.
Decorate walls with murals, trace poetry across the floor, drum until the canvas tingles, improvise a song, scrawl a lyric on the wall – welcome to a theatre that is open to all!
