The lack of social justice is one of the major factors leading to civil wars. Therefore it is important to think about social justice and World Day of Social Justice prompts us to do that when it is commemorated annually on February 20.
The goal is to speak out against racial injustice, elevate awareness about social inequality and to introduce together people across the world from all walks of life to eradicate poverty, sexual identity and biological prejudice, lack of education, and religious bigotry in order to create a more socially inclusive community.
The UN’s International Labour Organisation (ILO) works to advance social justice and promote decent work.
It has called for greater recognition and protection for the hundreds of millions of people who work from home, accounting for almost eight per cent of the global workforce.
