POP Online
Due to COVID-19, Places of Peace (POP) moved online in May to become POP Online.
POP Online is an hour-long weekly provision, led by the YMCA’s professional youth workers, where young people can socialise in a safe online community and get involved in games, quizzes, craft, competitions and more. POP Online has now been running for almost four weeks and has been well received. However, there is capacity and potential to do much more!
POP organisers would like to increase the number of sessions per week, creating more space for more young people to sign up and enjoy what POP Online has to offer.
Post-lock down plans are currently in development but it is likely that POP will continue as a virtual youth club, whilst also gradually reintroducing face-to-face youth club provision.
To sign up for POP Online, just call/text the YMCA’s youth leader on 07733 545080* or email at youthwork@ymcaheartofengland.org.uk, providing the young person’s name and age. They’ll be in touch!
*Please note that this is a work mobile number and will only be picked up between 09:00-17:00 on weekdays. The youth leader will try to respond to any voicemail messages within 2 working days.
POP is a collaboration between the Diocese of Coventry and YMCA Coventry and Warwickshire (part of YMCA Heart of England). Although it has been set up by a religious organisation, POP Online has no religious content.
