Wanted: Places to add to Coventry Peace Trails
Coventry Lord Mayor’s Committee for Peace and Reconciliation has issued an appeal to the people of Coventry to let them know about more places of peace in and around the city. They will then add them to the map they already publish online at covpeacetrail.uk
This map currently shows Coventry City Centre Peace Trail and Coventry Peace Gardens.
Coventry City Centre Peace Trail consists of 31 places related to peace in the city centre.
They also produce a booklet showing the location and information about each of the places on the trail.
They have recently added another trail to the map, this one consisting of the 18 Coventry Peace Gardens in all the wards of the city. A Peace Garden is a triangular planting of Hazel, Maple and Holly, each representing one of Coventry’s three spires. Each Garden is dedicated to one of the eighteen countries with whom Coventry shares a sister City.
Now they want to add a third trail consisting of all the other peace-related places around Coventry.
People who know of any such site are invited to write to editor@covpeacetrail.uk and give as much detail as possible, especially including the location.
