Coventry Against Racism invites you to the screening of ‘Black Sheep’ on 24 June. This Guardian-commissioned story of a black teenager who made friends with racists was nominated for best short documentary at the 2019 Oscars.
Following the film there will be a discussion led by our guest speakers which include Director Cornelius Walker.
After the high-profile killing of Damilola Taylor, Cornelius’ family move out of London. But when they discover their new town is run by racists, Cornelius’ life is turned upside down.
Filmed with non-actors in the same locations where the real events took place 15 years ago, this is a story about the things we do to survive.
Free entry. Collection at the door.
