The culminating performance of a three-week Cardboard Camps residency at the Belgrade Theatre Coventry will take place on 23 July.
The Cardboard Citizens’ programme in Coventry aims to raise awareness, increase understanding, and inspire change about homelessness throughout the city. This performance has been created by local people affected by or at risk of homelessness and highlights the issues they face.
The final performance of this residency will explore ideas and possibilities around homelessness in Coventry through Forum Theatre – providing opportunities for you, the audience, to shape the outcome of the stories presented. Audience members will also be engaged in Legislative Theatre – where you will be able to discuss what can be done to help address the problems presented in the show and throughout Coventry.
This is a co-production with the Belgrade Theatre Coventry and Coventry UK City of Culture, and partners Underground Lights.
The event will take place from 7pm in the B2 auditorium at the Belgrade Theatre on Friday 23 July 2021. The event will run for approximately 2hrs 30mins.
