Climate Change March to COP26

Climate change is one of the greatest threat to world peace and security currently facing humanity. In November the UK will be hosting COP26 in Glasgow where the nations of the world will meet to review progress towards reducing their carbon emissions.
A group of Spanish environmental activists will be taking part in the The East Column March to Glasgow and will arrive in Coventry on Saturday 9 October.
They welcome the public to meet them and walk with them.
The planned timetable is:
Sat 9 Oct
12 noon: Meet marchers at Coventry train station and walk with them into city centre. All welcome.
1 pm Welcome event at Coventry Cathedral ruins. All welcome.
2.30 pm marchers continue north of the city towards Hinkley. They will then be transported overnight accommodation in Coventry.
6-7 pm gather at Friends Meeting House for food and to meet homestay hosts Actions: liaise with accommodation hosts; provide vegan food; additional bedding.
option to support St Basil’s Sleep Out at Coventry Cathedral
Sun 10 Oct
8-9am: gather at Friends Meeting House for transport to re-join route at Hinkley
