I would like to stay on your mailing list, but am unable to come to meetings just now as I’m very busy with other committee work (WorldSong Community Choir).
I have two suggestions:
1) It would be great to link a school or schools to the annual Hiroshima commemoration event on August 6th. It’s a brilliant event, but lacks young people! As it’s in the summer holidays, preparatory work could be done during the summer term and any students around on the day could come along.
2) Linking in with the Peacemakers project : http://www.peacemakers.org.uk Balbir knows all about them and their wondeful resource for Primary Schools ‘Learning for Peace’.
