This website is looking for a volunteer who wants to gain journalistic and IT experience. The site is powered by the world’s most popular website content management system, WordPress. It powers over 40% of all websites. Knowledge of WordPress is a valuable skill that can be useful when applying for jobs. Previous knowledge is not required since full training will be given.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who wishes to gain journalistic experience. Coventry is known internationally as a city of Peace and Reconciliation and the website receives visitors from around the world.

Basic use of computers and the ability to write clear English are advantages. The situation will be home-based so the recruit will need to have access to a computer at home.

This site is managed by Coventry Lord Mayor’s Committee for Peace and Reconciliation. The successful candidate will be expected to join the Committee. More information about the Committee can be found at coventrycityofpeace.uk/lmpc.

This is an unpaid, voluntary post although reasonable expenses can be covered.
